MTHFR

So I went to the dr today and got my test results from my anti-coag panel they did 2 weeks ago. The nurse told me that I have "one copy of MTHFR." What the hell does that mean? I was referred to a hemotologist and that was all I was told. I have no idea what this means. Does anyone else? Help me!
